Project Zoo (Part 1)

Horton Plains Slender Loris
Joseph Smit's Faces of Lorises (1904)

Okay man. Project Zoo. This shall mark the continuation of a project of mine to create animal plush based on a particular animal featured in films, books, found in newspaper articles, featured on tv...etc etc. Pretty much any animal-related something that I find interesting and would get right to creating something based on that interest. The beginnings of this project can be traced back to......right here. It halted for too long as I focused on making it through the 2009 recession and growing the shop.

(Above piece) A Hortis Plain Slender Loris constructed using 1 found orange jacket. And right at the very top, the very newspaper article (21 July 2010) that made me work on it.

Well, the name may or may not change. But for now, it's simply called Project Zoo. YEAH!

For a Friend's Wedding

Using the sushi plush as the (very honorable) Ring Pillow! Woohoo!

(Above): They are both avid mountain climbers, hence ze mountain plush with a neat yellow lodge atop one of its peaks.
(Below): They first met at Singapore's Lindy Hop Ensemble. Thus, a tribute to the classic two-toned shoes one often sees in a lindy-hop dance number.
They are both huge fans of SOUTHPARK.
Sweeeeet!

They love to eat sushi.
(Below): The groom loves wildboars.
The boar is so wild, he spots a red lightning bolt tattoo on his ass.
(Above): The bride loves Louis, her rabbit of 10+ years.
(Below): A portrait of the newly-wedded couple.
I often see her wearing this nice weathered Oscar-the-Grouch grey tee, so I made her plush wearing that tee. And he had just completed the absolutely crazy but amazing 218km marathon, so I gave him extra wobbly legs.

Thank you A & KC, for the opportunity to create and play a part in adding some extra fun and colors to your already amazing wedding party and ceremony.
