We (the toys and I) are in the midst of bringing in good quality grown-up cotton tees for you to select at the shop and have YOUR doinky ideas patched on the tees! Give yourself a waiting period of 1-2 weeks for the custom-patched tee to be ready. So stay tuned for that one there! Meantime, here's J's new 3-eyed-monster with little boobs tee and M's new mashed-up buildings/houses tee!

New in the shop!

*New Artist*
Amy Lim
Amy crochets wonderful creatures and accessories. Pictured above is her crochet Venus of Willendorf plush. Unfortunately, it is not available at the moment as Amy is trying to recover from tennis elbow! But she sure makes tons of quirky crochet characters!

But on the bright side, Doinky now has some of Amy's colorful crochet mini-pouches and accessories, fabric tissue holders and pin cushions:-)

And here they are:
Thank you Amy!

T's new cushion covers! We have:
Rainbow (pictured above).
And a little yelping dog on a small patch of green.
He is yelping for the rainbow to release its pot of gold onto him!Next, there is Adam and Eve (pictured below).
The sssnake is reaching over to Eve. I like Eve's perky breasts...
and don't forget Adam! Adam is eyeing the apple...or is he eyeing Eve?
Wait, how does it happen?
Moving on...Jesus healing a blind man.I like the blind's man patch of goatee.Last but not the most leastest, we have Jonah and the Whale.
Jonah is stuck inside the whale's stomach.
Jonah: Somebody git me outta here!

Thank you so much T! It was super fun sewing scenes from the Bible:-}

My moment of bigheadedness

Sometime ago,
Joan told me to check up something on her blog that
she wanted to share with me. After reading this post...I had,
WHATCHAMACALLIT.....

I proceeded to dunk my head in
the freezer compartment where Mom
had the fishes packed in.

Thank YOU Joan.
For the support, encouraging mails
and most of important of all,
for being such an awesome soul. U ROCK!

22/July/2011

I'm drooling......because I have lost the ability to think.
When some people tell me this in a certain way,
it is usually followed by:
...And my grandma doesn't charge me for it.

And I would think, the above green
girl looks a lot better than them.

He's got the evil eye.
And blue evilish tentacles.
And one ear,
'cause he ate the other ear in a fit of anger
towards people who like handmade.

I love me...
...shake shake shake.

Peeing bird doodles are good for your soul.

Retro Kids ClothingArrival of pirated mickey mouse tees, super short shorts with pretty prints and comfy velour tees for kids. Hey, you there who is born in the 90s? This is what we folks wrinkler than you used to wear when we are out catching tadpoles and hoping they be frogs the very next morning. Saaaay ribbbit!
(Thanks A!)

Title of this piece:
Turdy Snake Attacks Us
Made as an ode to all things brown, slimey, dirty and snakey (?), this piece is constructed using a bagful of recycled tees. The coiling snake wraps itself round a rock-like structure, symbolizing how the Wild will eventually come and get us for attacking their environment, hence the sort of strangling feel about it.

You feeling it?

Okay, that is crap. It really is just something I was trying out. I wanted to make a stool for children, but this is how it turned out. I do kinda like it, but it sure ain't a stool for kids.
It looks more like, like stool.

Title of the next piece:
Pearl Spider Patchwork Vase

Okay! This piece passed the quality-check!
(under my very inspective eyeballs filled with bread crusts). And here is a little about it:
Pearl Spider Patchwork Vase is constructed using recycled fabrics and materials. A green spider with titty pearls (fake
pearls) is hanging on for dear life, and because he is so nervous, he starts giggling. A butterfly rests right beside him, and she laughs at his nervousness. Across the two of them, an orange-pom-pom flower blooms.

Lesson behind this: Don't wear titty pearls.

Woodpecker Patchwork Vase

A woodpecker has just bore a hole right through the vase, and an orange snake is creeping up to it. Around them are some wild yellow fungi blooming.Picture of a woodpecker I was using when
creating the patchwork vase:

Love its colors!
Especially its spotty wings and beautiful sleek hair-do.
And this is a picture of yellow fungi growing on deadwood.
Seeing that tiny orange worm beside the yellow fungi,
got me adding this orange snake on the patchwork vase.
He has a mildly sinister eye.
